The Irony of Reading/Writing Long Blogposts

The other day I recommended girltalk.com to MFP (Patricia), telling her that I liked the way the blog looked, the weekly format they use, and in general, the content.

And then I added, “But sometimes I don’t read it because the articles are SO LONG!”

MFP did not flinch, but instead, cut her eyes up at me as if to say, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Have you noticed the length of your posts lately?”

I laughed. And then said something like, “Yeah, I know. I can’t believe that anyone takes the time to read all those long posts I write.”

She laughed. And said, “Well, I was wondering, since you do that too…”

Oh, the irony.

The lengthy blogpost writer gives no grace as a blogpost reader.

There’s a lesson there, I think. Maybe I’ll write a really long post about it later today. (wicked grin.)
