The Day After

The day after

I’ve always thought that Day-After-Thanksgiving shoppers were insane.

My plans for today include a 10-hour minivan trip home with a three-year-old, and 18-month old, and a week’s worth of emotional baggage from visiting relatives.

Suddenly shopping today doesn’t sound insane. I think it might be preferable.

  1. Nothing like a day with family to remind you what you are thankful for.

  2. This is the FIRST time I’ve ever gone to the door buster sales. It was GREAT! Small town, no crowds, excellent prices! I got twice as much as I would have on a normal day.
I saw a bracelet I wish I could afford for all my friends who are Mommies… it was silver links and said “Her children lift her up and call her blessed.” Think of your road trip as quality time! You are truly blessed to have this time with them.

  3. Hope your trip went OK. It’ll be good to have you back, and maybe actually even see eachother sometime soon!!!

  4. Kim, I wish I were you friend and that you could afford the bracelet!

funny post…emotional baggage…shopping sounds preferable! HA!

    1. You only go if you don’t have babies.
    2. you only go if your husband can go help with the other kids and is in a very good mood, and actually suggests going shopping (mine did…I’m still in shock).
    3. I bought like 14 gifts in one store to try to show him it was well worth his time.

Oh. How I feel the LOVE!

  5. Boy, I bet you’re glad that trip’s done! I thought 2 hours in the car with a young child was bad!

Can’t wait to see you and here how everything went.
