One Down…
…two to go.
Closets. And cleaning/organizing them.
In an effort to get the house ready to sell, and to get ready for a garage sale that we’re having next Saturday, I cleaned out Jane’s closet today.
The excessive toys are an embarrassment.
Why do we have 20 stuffed animals? In a black trash bag? Untouched for months?
Sadly, this doesn’t even include the ones (note the plural) she plays with regularly, and the handful in the toybox that are seldom noticed.
Nonetheless, Jane’s closet is now a model of organizing prowess, fit for any prospective home buyers keen gaze.
Next up is Elizabeth’s room, and no doubt, a truckful of outgrown clothes, baby toys, rattles, bibs, and other various and sundry baby paraphernalia.
Sigh.
Makes me tired just thinking about it.
I think I’ll go take a nap.

wait, you’re moving? i must have missed that part. bummer.
okay, so now that you’re leaving, anything good you’re getting rid of?
Yeah for organizing!!!
Stuffed animals seem to multiply before your eyes. Two years after I moved out of my parents house my mom insisted that I remove any residual personal belongings. Behold, I found an entire box of stuffed animals from my childhood. However, I was quite the teddy bear queen as a child so it is probably impressive that one box was all that was left.
Our yard sale rule is (at least) one free stuffed animal with every purchase!
