And Now for the News…

Sold! After a mere 2 weeks (and 2 days) and a surprising 10 showings, we have a signed a contract to sell our house to a lovely gentleman who is relocating to Orlando for a job!

Whew! And a big YAY for God!

Why YAY God, you ask?

Because in this housing market, in this neighborhood, at this time of year, it is nothing short of a miracle that our house has sold so fast.

Now granted, we priced it to sell (maybe too good!), and we have a truly wonderful realtor (thanks, Cheri!), but with 11 houses for sale just in our neighborhood, only God deserves the credit.

In other news, no, we don’t have jobs yet.

And, no, we don’t have a place to live.

So, yes, I am a tad stressed.

However, God is faithful and trustworthy and good, so we will continue to trust Him for our future, uncertain as it may seem to us.

In the meantime, we will travel to Birmingham, Alabama to scope out a place to live and also continue on with our mutual job searches there.

If you want to help, then pray, friends, pray.

For those of you who have asked, we are finally over our several month-long fight with Giardia.
Thankfully, it appears we have (at last!) won the fight. Many thanks to Dr. Alex Casler (the best pediatrician in the world) who finally put a stop to the madness and helped get us all treated simultaneously. I shall be forever grateful to her for that, and for the thousand other things that make her such a wonderful doctor and friend.

Through the generosity of friends and family, Christmas for the Martins will be as usual, so though our financial resources are quickly running out, God has supplied those (through some of you!) as well.

So that’s the news of the week. With a little luck, I’ll be back to our regularly scheduled blogging in no time flat.

Hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!

  2. Great! I’m glad you guys were able to get a contract so quickly.

By the way, that link back to Cheri’s site is more valuable than you might know. Hopefully more of us will do the same for her to raise her search engine ranking. How’s that for seeing into the mind of a web marketing guy? :)

  3. Praise God! Will be praying for the next steps! Love ya,
