The Countdown Begins
“4…3…2…1
Earth below us drifting, falling. Floating weightless, coming home.”
I don’t know who wrote (or sang) that song from the 80’s, but it is very fitting right now, as I seem to be having an out of body experience these last 4 days before our move on Friday.
Chalk it up to stress, I guess.
And though I’m not rocketing to the moon, just Birmingham, AL, to my friends and surrogate family here in Orlando (and to me, too, in some ways) it feels like I’m going far, far away.
So as we begin the countdown, I humbly and gratefully ask for your prayers for health (both physical and emotional), strength (ditto), jobs for Paul and I both, and for our house to sell. Quickly.
Oh, and most of all, for the grace to make it through this time with my faith intact, and my love for Paul and our girls to go unscathed.
And as for the countdown, I’ll let you know how it feels when we get to zero.

Love you, girl, and am praying often for you all!!!
Peter Schilling singing Major Tom. See?
Love you Cathy! I’m praying for you. You, Paul and the girls are in my thoughts often!
Hang in there!
God has orchestrated your every move…..through the womb….growing up….your mom’s …..adolescence…..marriage….out of Alabama and into the world!! (My favorite part) to Pennsylvania…..then FLA…..now back to the start. And you are never the same — always changing, ever seeking. God has prepared you for this. I read your “Lost” blog, and it speaks well of who you are. He has found you, and has let you feel Him with you. It doesn’t matter where you go…..because you’ll be with Him. And your man. And your babies. God’s peace to you, sweetie. You’re gonna be just fine.
Yes, Peter Schilling. Someone got to it first. Great song.
