Sold!
No, not the house.
My very first piece(s) of art. I guess that makes me a for-real artist, if only on a limited and self-taught basis. (grin.)
Many thanks to Erin Roney for her believing in me enough to do 4 cut paper flowers for her breakfast nook/kitchen. The impact of her financial support by commissioning my work is only eclipsed by the words of encouragement and affirmation that she has afforded throughout the whole process.
I think her exact phrase was, “Exceeds my expectation!” when she viewed the completed, framed work for the first time.
I wonder if everyone is so lucky with their first customer? I bet not.
So, “Cheers!” to Erin for seeing the vision. “Cheers!” to Paul for busting his butt on the whole framing process, with fabulous results. “Cheers!” to creating art every time I get half a chance, and “Cheers!” to loving every minute of it.
Most of all, “Cheers!” to every artist who has sold one of their works.
I’m so pleased that I barely have the words.
I guess “Sold!” just says it all.
(And, for everyone who has asked, yes, I will post pictures of the final, framed artwork; just as soon as I can!)

Good job! I sold a couple pieces of art when I was in high school and, you’re right, it’s so encouraging. Keep it up!
