My Garden

Paper Flower Garden

Here is a little photo I took of some of my artwork all nicely lined up on the windowsill. When I got the photo CD (no, Nancy, I still don’t use a digital camera!), I noticed that it looked like a little garden.

A paper flower garden.

No water needed, thankfully, or they’d be long dead by now.

I’ve taken the time (that I didn’t have) to replace some of the images previously on Lillybeth, as well as added a few new photos.

Hopefully, it will give readers (and future Lillybeth art buyers!) a better handle on what it is that I’m capable of doing, art-wise.

Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to replace the “Baby Faces” images, so they’ll just have to have that washed-out look until I can get around to taking better pictures of them.

Actually, I just did another series of “Baby Faces” for a local nursery/toddler room decor shoppe…they’re just waiting to be matted and framed. When that happens (God knows when!), I’ll pull the original post and put a new one up.

Cross your fingers that Sue-Sue at Bellini will like them and want to carry my “Nursery Art” line. (heehee. It cracks me up that I’m in the works of having a “Nursery Art” line. Who knew?!) I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

And here’s a little sneak peek of something that I’m working on…
what are those things?!

I’m finding myself growing in both my paper-cutting skill and also in my artistic perspective, so my “new” stuff has an edgier, more dynamic quality to it, I think.

Any guesses? (hint: it belongs in the garden as well)

  1. Love it! Love it! Love it! It has been too long since I’ve checked in with you, and I’m just floored with the creativity that the Lord has given you both. We need to catch up soon. I misplaced your new e-mail address. Forgive me. I can’t wait to see what else blooms from the creative seeds God is planting in you.

  2. So neat - I’m really excited for you and proud of your work.
